Despite this year's poor showing, most likely due to gas prices, flooding in some areas of the state, and, well, the gate prices, Tim Pieper and Dave Bonnett did their best to support the event - even though promised support from the Ohio Cleveland6Club and Mazda MotorSports failed to appear. At least there was a corral! Plans for MRR 2009, as might be expected, are in a state of flux. There will be information concerning whether or not Midwest Rotary Rally will continue posted here sometime in November. Since its inception, the Midwest Rotary Rally has evolved, much like the Rotary engine. Organized and run by the RX Club Of Wisconsin, MRR is a rotary-community based event, and an opportunity to gather with fellow rotary enthusiasts to share the camaraderie and the obsession that we all have with Dr. Wankel's wonderful creation. 2008, our eighth year, continues the 1-day tradition started last year, inside the ALMS/MAZDASPEED Corral. There will be the usual sense of community, a rotary review (formerly called the concours), door prizes and raffle drawings, and of course - racing.
